De Meinweg National Park

De Meinweg National Park offers visitors a unique terrace landscape which formed over the centuries by erosion of the river Maas and shifts in the Earth’s crust. A unique phenomenon in the Netherlands.

The park is to the east of Roermond, has three borders with Germany and covers about 1,800 ha. Forests, heath, lakes and valleys in De Meinweg provide a varied view. This is also the only spot in Limburg where you might come across an adder.

Visitor's centre De Meinweg is at the entrance of the National Park. Throughout the year fun and instructive activities are organised here. Special areas for playing and climbing.
